Good Afternoon Senior Parent(s) & Guardian(s),

We continue doing everything we can to make sure that next week is an exciting and memorable few days for your Senior while we stay “safer at home.”

Please make certain you check the school website at each day for updates regarding our Senior Week Events.

Tuesday, 5/19 "BHS Faculty Excellence Awards" (Link to the event, through BHS-TV will be posted by 6:00 p.m.)

Wednesday, 5/20 "BHS Senior Awards" (Link to the event, through BHS-TV will be posted by 6:00 p.m.)

Friday, 5/22 "BHS Class of 2020 Virtual Graduation Ceremony" (Link to the event, through BHS-TV will be posted by 6:00 p.m.)

A huge thank you to our community partners, at “MOcean” for producing our virtual graduation, an incredible keepsake for our Seniors. This will be the best virtual graduation anywhere!

I will email-blast a reminder concerning scheduled events each day and include tips on where viewers can access and enjoy these programs.

Below you will find important information on Thursday’s “Last Lap Around the School and Book Drop.”

We'd like to encourage each of you to make a poster for your graduate. On Wednesday, May 20, we ask that you hang your poster on the perimeter of the school. Remember to practice social distancing during this time. Stay in your car if you see others in the area and wait for your turn to hang your poster. Visitors should stay 10-12 feet apart at all times in the event you come across other people. Masks and gloves are required on public sidewalks near campus.

It is our hope that by Thursday morning, the perimeter of campus will be decorated with inspirational posters for our graduates to see when they arrive the next day.

On Thursday, May 21, we will be collecting books and other items that were loaned out to Seniors. A list was sent in the mail to all Seniors citing books and technology that have been checked out through our library. Please email Ms. Susan Hoy at if you do not receive that list by Friday (May 15).

You must arrive during your assigned time slot on Harvard St. near the library to return these items. You will stay in the car.

What to bring: Your list, books (textbooks and library books), Chromebook with charger, Hotspot, fees owed to finance or library, other items that you have checked out from a teacher (calculator, camera, tools, …)

Where to go: Please start on Glenoaks and make a right onto Harvard. Tables will be lined up on Harvard for cars to pull-up curbside and drop off items. STUDENTS AND PARENTS WILL REMAIN IN CAR. Items will be placed on tables with your check-off list on top. A staff member will take and review your items. (We will not be scanning books at this time, but will do so in the days that follow and before distributing diplomas the following week).

Make it fun: Decorate your car and consider wearing your cap and gown. Finish the last lap around the school by continuing down Third Street. Wave “goodbye to BHS” as you pass the main gate. STUDENTS AND PARENTS MUST REMAIN IN THEIR CARS AT ALL TIMES.

Makeup dates:

*Books returned during the make-up days will need to be delivered to the BHS Library entrance on Harvard. Students cannot receive their diploma until all items have been returned to the school and in-debts cleared.

*We continue to work with our vendors on items such as yearbooks, cords and other keepsakes. We will communicate the plan for distributing those as soon as we know more.

*The first round of yard signs went out Monday. More went out today. They will also be made available next week. Unfortunately, our car flags are on back order. ASB will lead out on distributing those as soon as we have them.

Thank you for your time and attention to the above,

Dr. Crowther
