Good evening, this is Dr. Miller, principal at John Muir Middle School with this week’s update.

Tomorrow night at 7pm, our PTSA will host their final meeting of the year. The meeting will be in-person in our library and all are welcome to attend. You can also participate via Zoom by using a link in the attached agenda.

Thursday evening at 6:30, our instrumental music program will present their Spring concert. General admission tickets are $10 and $5 for Muir students.

We are starting to collect students’ textbooks. 8th grade students should turn in their textbooks this week and 6th and 7th grade students should turn in their textbooks next week. Chromebooks are not being collected. All students should keep your Chromebook and charger, including 8th grade students moving on to a BUSD high school. The expectation is that students will keep their current Chromebook through their high school graduation. If your child happens to have two school-issued Chromebooks, please have them visit the Media Center to see which one they are supposed to keep.

Finally, students will have final exams next week on Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday. Thank you and have a great week.

Good evening, this is Dr. Miller, principal at John Muir Middle School with this week’s update.

This is Teacher Appreciation Week and a great time to thank your child’s teachers for all of the work that they do to teach and support our students.

On Thursday and Friday evening at 6:30, our vocal music program will present “Singing Things,” their Spring concert. General admission tickets are $10.

On Friday, the Kona Ice truck will be out on Kenneth after school with all proceeds going to our PTSA.

This week we will be distributing promotion gowns to 8th grade students. If you have not paid for your child’s gown, you can pay online or bring $25 cash to the finance office.

Yearbooks are also on sale, but there are fewer than 100 copies left. Use the link in the email that accompanies this phone call to secure your child’s yearbook before they are all gone.

Finally, please make sure to have your child at school by 7:50 so that they can easily make it to their first class.

Thank you and have a great week.
