GATE Program
The Gifted and Talented Education (GATE) program provides differentiated learning opportunities that meet the gifted and talented students' particular talents, abilities, and needs.
In the elementary schools, GATE students are clustered together in the regular classroom and provided with appropriately differentiated instruction of the core curriculum. Enrichment opportunities extend the core curriculum or explore a topic not usually offered.
For questions or information about the GATE program at Washington, please contact Debbie Farmer.
GATE PAC (Parent Advisory Council)
Parents of GATE students are welcomed to meet and share ideas with other GATE parents, and to participate in the planning, implementation and evaluation of the program, through the District GATE Parent Advisory Committee (GATE PAC).
Meetings are held monthly from 6:15 -7:45pm on the 3rd floor of the District office, in either the Board Room or the Teacher's Resource Room.
