Principals Message

Welcome to our Walt Disney Elementary School website!  We appreciate you taking the time to visit.  We are proud of the wonderfulness that is our school community:  caring families, a kind and supportive staff, friendly students, and a beautiful campus.  We are particularly proud of our new two-story building that was completed in May of 2022.  Soon our new field and revitalized playground will be available for our students to enjoy. 

Together as a school community, we work to maintain Disney's focus on achievement and the well-being of our students, while also promoting and supporting a positive and inclusive school culture.  This includes providing engaging Common Core instruction, enriching opportunities, and supporting the unique needs of each child.  We are also focused on continuing our work around diversity, equity, and inclusion, and the collaboration that we do with our school partners.  In all things that we do, we consistently emphasize our PBIS norms; Stay Safe, Offer Kindness, Accept Responsibility, and Respect Others, and the importance of social-emotional development.  It is important to us that our students want to come to school and that they come to value the joy of learning that they will carry with them during and beyond their years with us at Disney.  

There are many ways for our families, parents, and guardians to be involved, which we encourage.  One way is to become an official volunteer.  You can also participate in groups, such as the Parent Teacher Association (PTA), School Site Council (SSC), English Language Advisory Council (ELAC), or Gifted and Talented Education (GATE).  In addition, we hold many events for our students and families throughout the school year, including Student of the Month. 

As the new principal of Disney, I place a high value on building relationships with all stakeholders and working in collaboration with you, all in the interest of doing what is best for our children.  Please know that my door is open to you should you have any questions or concerns.  I want to thank you for your support in getting your child to school on time every day.  We look forward to continuing to work with you to provide a well-rounded and excellent education program for our Disney students.
