Peggy Flynn, Arts & CTE Coordinator

Peggy Flynn has been an educator for more than 30 years. She became the BUSD Arts Coordinator in 2006, later expanding her role to include Career Technical Education in 2015. Peggy was a classroom teacher and Literacy Resource Teacher for 15 years before combining her passion for the arts and teaching, with community collaborations to improve access to the arts for all BUSD students. She earned a degree in Fine Arts from St. Mary's College, California and worked in the design publication and entertainment industries before finding her passion for teaching in 1992. Peggy was instrumental in the development of the Burbank Arts for All Foundation, a non-profit established in 2006 to supplement District funding of the BUSD Arts for All Plan. She served on the Burbank Cultural Arts Committee in 2009, joined the Burbank Cultural Arts Commission in 2010, and has served as the commission chair from November 2016- July 2017.
