• Providencia’s PTA

    The PTA (Parent/Teacher Association) at our school plays a critical role in planning and organizing many of our annual school-wide events. The organization, which meets in our Community Room on the second Thursday of every month, is comprised of elected officers, representatives from the Staff, the Principal, and any parents or family members who wish to attend. At these meetings, members plan future events, discuss how to raise funds for the school, and vote on how to allocate those funds and make decisions about which programs to sponsor in order to best serve all the students in the school.

    Currently, more than eighty percent of our students are represented by parents or family members in the PTA. PTA organizes our annual Spring Carnival in April. They also put on the Book Fair and the Talent Show, pay for school assemblies, and pay $10.00 for each child to go on at least one field trip per school year.
