English Language Development (ELD)

  • Roosevelt students who have been identified as English Learners benefit from participation in the general classroom instructional program as well as specific ELD instruction provided by trained ELD assistants and overseen by Roosevelt's ELD Coordinator, Deidra Tineo.

One of the assessments used to evaluate student growth is the English Language Proficiency Assessment of California (ELPAC). Each year, students are assessed in reading, writing, speaking, and listening, providing teachers and parents with valuable information about their growth.
