  • On Thursday, October 17, 2019 at 10:17 a.m. Burbank Unified School District will be conducting a District-Wide earthquake exercise.  All staff and students are expected to participate in this event.  Students are given directions on what to do in the event of an earthquake using age appropriate language and information.  Teachers are expected to practice with their students regularly so that they feel confident and prepared during an actual earthquake.

The date of this exercise correlates with The Great California Shake Out event.  Shake Out was created to educate the masses in preparing, surviving, and recovery from a large earthquake.   Additional information and resources associated with The Great California Shake Out can be obtained from their website:  http://shakeout.org/california/
