Welcome to Thomas Edison Elementary School, a wonderful place to grow and learn.  Edison lies in the heart of a great residential community in Burbank California and serves about 560 children in grades from Transitional Kindergarten (TK) through fifth grade.  

Our school has a reputation for excellent academic preparation and unique enrichment opportunities for children.  A wonderful and well-trained staff provides a rigorous standards-based curriculum which prepares students to be successful.  A vast array of parent volunteers supports the teaching staff in many ways: preparing materials, facilitating small group activities, and planning and organizing special events. 

Edison students are well behaved and demonstrate respect for each other and for the adults who are assisting them on their educational journey. We support their journey with social emotional learning through weekly coaching and activities in classrooms. This is guided by our At-Risk Intervention Specialist. Many special learning opportunities are available for our awesome students:  English Language Development, Gifted and Talented Education, Special Education programs, music instruction  for all students, Outdoor Science School for 5th graders, Student Council, an arts wheel with a variety of of art genres, as well as special after school enrichment opportunities.
