The Gifted and Talented Education (GATE) program provides differentiated learning opportunities that meet the gifted and talented students' particular talents, abilities, and needs.
In the elementary schools, GATE students are clustered together in the regular classroom and provided with appropriately differentiated instruction of the core curriculum. Enrichment opportunities extend the core curriculum or explore a topic not usually offered.
GATE Advisory Council (GAC)
Parents of GATE students are welcomed to meet and share ideas with other GATE parents, and to participate in the planning, implementation and evaluation of the program, and learn about parenting gifted children through the District GATE Advisory Council (GAC).
