Educational background - I have multiple subject credentials with  (C.L.A.D.)  and a masters in education. 

Teaching Experience - 25 years of teaching that includes special education, kindergarten, first grade and fifth grade. 

Professional Achievements or Certifications - Bret Harte Masonic teacher of the year, Bret Harte honorary service award , BUSD 25 years of service award 

Personal Interest or Hobbies - I love walking and doing yoga! I love live theater and going to new restaurants. I have a passion for teaching young learners. 

Second/ Third Grade Leap Teacher

I have been working in this field for four years. This is my first year teaching at Bret Harte. I am excited and enthusiastic about what this school year has to offer.  It has been a great year thus far, with such amazing staff and students, it is hard not to have a smile on your face, walking down the halls of Bret Harte.

Kindergarten Teacher

My name is Ann Ouellette (o-let), and I love teaching Kindergarten! I am a graduate of Cal Poly Pomona and Azusa Pacific University.

I have over 30 years of experience in the classroom as an aide and substitute teacher and received my Teaching Credential in 1994. I have taught kindergarten-third grade. I have also taught the after-school primary chorus for many years.  I received the PTA Honorary Service Award in 2013.

I love to travel and go to Disneyland, museums, musical theater productions, Dodger Games, and my son's football games, where he coaches.  I also love art, painting, and photography. My favorite thing to do is spend time with my family, especially with my granddaughter.

Kindergarten  Teacher

I started my teaching career in 2006 after attending Cal State Northridge for my Bachelor's degree and credential.  By the time I was in 2^nd grade, I knew I wanted to be a teacher.  I attribute my love of learning for the wonderful educators I had throughout my school years.   I have taught all grades TK-6  in some form,  but have spent a majority of my time in primary grades.   I became a Bret Harte Bee in 2018 and look forward to spending time in this school community! I enjoy going to the movies, concerts, reading, walking, watching shows and just relaxing in my spare time.  It's great to be a Bret Harte Bee! 💙🐝 💛

Third Grade Teacher

Many years before becoming a teacher, I attended BUSD schools and graduated from Burbank High. I received my degree in 1997, Bret Harte became my home away from home. I began my career  as a second-grade teacher and taught for 17 years. I then moved on to teaching third. I am currently a mentor teacher to new teachers in our district. My favorite subject to teach is science and my favorite time of day is reading aloud. I am proud to be not just a teacher, but a teacher here at Bret Harte elementary school, where I can share my love of learning.

First Grade Teacher

I have been a teacher in BUSD for more than 15 years. I have taught KG, 1st, and 3rd grades. I have two adult children who received a great education in our public schools in Burbank. I migrated from India over 40 years ago and spent my childhood there with a loving, extended family. I miss my homeland dearly and have a deep connection with my family even to this day!
