Please use the dedicated Report to Sophos button in Outlook, which will immediately remove and quarantine suspicious emails from your mailbox and help train our Email Protection algorithm for everyone else as well.
NetSmartz Workshop is an interactive, educational program of the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children® (NCMEC) that provides age-appropriate resources to help teach children how to be safer on- and offline. The program is designed for children ages 5-17, parents and guardians, educators, and law enforcement. With resources such as videos, games, activity cards, and presentations, NetSmartz entertains while it educates.
Our mission is to:
- Assure informed policymaking on Internet-related issues within both government and the private sector
- Promote the Internet as a valuable medium for democratic participation, communications, and commerce
- Educate the public about the challenges and problems presented by the Internet medium and offer potential solutions
- Raise the awareness and effectiveness of the Internet Caucus Advisory Committee as an educational tool for Congress
- Encourage coalitions of corporations, industry associations, and public interest groups to work together on addressing important Internet-related policy issues and engaging in educational outreach projects
WiredSafety.org's work falls into five major areas:
- Help and support for victims of cyberbullying, cyberabuse, cybercrime and harassment;
- Advice, Training and Help for law enforcement worldwide on preventing, spotting and investigating cybercrimes;
- Education for children, parents, communities, law enforcement and educators on cybersafety issues;
- Information and awareness on all aspects of online safety, privacy, responsible use and security; and
- Resources that can be downloaded or printed and sued for offline presentations, community events and classroom activities.
StopCyberbullying was the first cyberbullying prevention program in North America. Its specially-trained young volunteers design and deliver community programs to help their peers address cyberbullying. StopCyberbullying's founder, Parry Aftab, calls them her "cyberarmy" empowered to tackle this important issue. These teens and tweens staff their own text messaging support line for other young people, build apps to promote kindness, and provide student peer support in their schools.
SafeKids.com is one of the oldest and most enduring sites for Internet safety. It’s founder and editor, Larry Magid, is the author of the original National Center for Missing & Exploited Children’s 1994 brochure, “Child Safety on the Information Highway.” He is co-director of ConnectSafely.org and a technology journalist.
