RELEASE FROM BUSD TO ANOTHER DISTRICT (RESIDENTS)
RELEASE APPLICATIONS (OUTGOING) FROM BUSD
Applications to be released from BUSD for the 2026/2027 school year will be accepted starting March 9, 2026 ONLINE (link will be posted below on March 9) or IN PERSON from 8:00 am - 4:00 pm at the Student Services office - 1900 W. Olive Ave. Burbank, CA 91506.
2026-2027 PAPER APPLICATION: ENGLISH SPANISH ARMENIAN
- Paper Application (use link above to print)
- Letter of Employment Verification for receiving district and a current pay stub OR
- Letter of Acceptance of a Special Program in the receiving district (such as Dual Immersion)
- Current utility bill from Burbank Water & Power
- Picture ID of parent
- Report Card and current IEP (if applicable) from the receiving district if the student is already attending there

If you are applying for an updated release (if your student was previously released and is attending another district already), please include a current report card or transcript to show the student's progress and attendance in that district.
