About the SBAC

The Superintendent's Budget Advisory Committee (SBAC) has a shared commitment to collaboration, and responsible stewardship of public funds. The SBAC will play a key role in reviewing, understanding, and providing input on the District’s budget priorities and financial decision‑making. Together, we will strengthen trust, deepen community engagement, and help ensure our fiscal systems reflect the needs and values of the entire BUSD community.

We bring together a diverse group of partners, including PTA, BTA, CSEA, BASA, community members, students, and district staff, to provide meaningful insights and perspectives on budgeting, resource allocation, enrollment impacts, staffing, and long‑term fiscal planning. Each member's voice, and commitment will be instrumental in strengthening the district’s financial systems and ensuring our decisions align with community priorities.
