• State Standardized Testing (SBAC) 

     

    SBAC

     

              Our 3rd - 5th grade McKinley students will be participating in our State's Standardized Test called SBAC (Smarter Balanced Assessment Consortium) between March 27th and April 28th. All grade levels throughout the district will be testing on the same days throughout the window. Please see testing schedule below for specific dates your child’s classroom is testing. Students in grades 3-5 will participate in assessments in English Language Arts and Math. Fifth grades students will also participate in the state’s field test for the California Science Test (CAST). If you have any testing questions, please contact Danielle Kuester, our school’s Curriculum Specialist.

              These assessments are one measure that we use to assess student progress towards the state standards. We have been providing students with the opportunity to explore practice tests so that they can become comfortable with the testing format.
