Friday, April 21st: All Money and Permission Slips Due for Universal Studios 

Friday, April 21st: 15-week Grading Period Closes---Eligibility Check for Universal Studios (Grades and Citizenship Mark Check)

Friday, April 21st: 8th Grade Field Trip to Disney Concert Hall  

Friday, May 5th: 8th Grade College & Career Day in all classes (Business dress expected)

Wednesday, May 17th: Deadline for Promotion Ceremony Eligibility (Grades/Citizenship Marks submitted)

Friday, May 19th: Universal Studios 8th Grade Grad Night. Promotion Eligible 8th graders can attend this special event with their friends on the last FRIDAY of your middle school career. All details are in the Jr. Grad Bash packet that was distributed in your Advisory classes. Tickets must be purchased by April 21st. Don't miss the opportunity to pay for the entire cost of your ticket by selling chocolate. Please see Mrs. Jones in the Finance Office for more details and information.

Eighth Grade Promotion Requirements

All students in Burbank USD are required to meet the following criteria for participation in the 8^th Grade Promotion Ceremony and any 8^th Grade Promotion celebrations or activities:

• Pass ten out of twelve classes in a school year (December and May final semester grades). Students may earn only two F’s for the year. Three or more F’s equals ineligibility.
• Earn no more than four U’s in Citizenship for the school year. Earn no more than two U’s in Citizenship second semester. Six tardies to any one class = U in Citizenship.
• Be suspended no more than two times within the school year; no more than one suspension allowed second semester.
• Have no indebts. All fees must be paid.
