Return of Chromebooks and Equipment borrowed
Students in TK-1st grade are asked to return the Chromebooks assigned to them. Please make arrangements to drop off the equipment and all accessories to the place you obtained it from.
All 8th grade and 12th grade students are asked to return the equipment and all accessories assigned to them to their school site.
Each individual school site may have different requirements. Please refer to your school site for instructions.
When returning equipment, please have the Chromebook fully charged and turned on for a quicker return process. Please see these instructions for all components required to be returned.

Student Email

- Middle and High School students have access to their BUSD email account if parents have allowed it in the Aeries Parent Portal.
- Go to Outlook.com and Sign in using your BUSD username and password. Note that student email is not accessible via Google Classroom and thus Gmail.

Aeries for Students and Parents: Creating an Account
Note that the Aeries account is not the same as your BUSD student account and if you have not set one up, you first need the parent portal letter from your school office to complete the process of linking your email address to your student Aeries account.
Once you have this letter, go to https://www.burbankusd.org, click on the Aeries Parent/Student Portal link at the base of the images and select “Create New Account”.
Once set up, look for an email from BurbankUSD@Aeries.net in your email account. Clicking on the link in this email will confirm the creation of the account. When prompted, plug in the information from the parent portal letter.

- Select Sign In
- Enter your BUSD username in the email address field
- Select Enterprise ID (Company or School account)
- Sign in with BUSD username and password

Blackboard: Parent and Student Notifications

- Select the schools you want to receive notifications from
- Download the BUSD Mobile app to receive notifications on your device
- Please note that opting out of any messages from BUSD opts you out of all future messages from BUSD

Chrome Browser: Adding user account

Chrome User Profiles allow you to setup your District Google account as a separate Chrome profile and keep all your District bookmarks separate from your personal ones. It also syncs all your information and it allows you to easily access your District Google Drive and Docs. To setup a new Chrome user profile please follow these instructions:
- In Google Chrome, click the avatar icon in the upper right corner
- Click Add to add a new Google Account to Chrome.
- Name the Google Account “School” or whatever you would like to distinguish it from your personal account and select an avatar.
- Click “Already a Chrome user? Sign in” and then log in with your school username and password.
- When prompted to turn on Google Sync, we recommend you turn it on. That should automatically import all your Chrome bookmarks from your school account.
- Done! You now have an easy way to access school resources while at home.

Log onto Chromebook with the @gmail.com user account, the one that was used to set-up the Chromebook initially.

Launch Chrome browser, and change the user to the student's @stu.burbankusd.org account.
Note: If it is a child account on the Chromebook, an adult account will need to be set up and logged into for this to work.

Chromebook: Bad Password
- Below the password field, click "I can't remember my password" or "Forgot old password?"
- Click "Proceed anyway". This will clear the old locally cached data for the user and re-sync new user data from the cloud.
