    Cisco Phone

    Cisco Telephone System Upgrades have been Completed!

    The District-wide upgrade to the new VoIP Cisco telephone system was completed on December 14. It is very important never to move any telephone, as telephones are linked to the location for emergency services (E911 information). Information of your exact location (address, building, floor and room) is given to emergency services, so they know exactly where they are needed. Should you move a telephone to another location and someone calls 911, emergency services will go to the wrong location. If you need a telephone moved, please submit a Technology service request.

    We are changing the number used for accessing an outside line due to accidental calls to 911. On January 28, 2019, using 9 for accessing an outside line will no longer be possible. This only affects calling outside the District, but applies to all telephones within the District.

    How to Open a Work Order

    Quick reminder we are using Fresh Service for both Technology and Facilities work orders. All staff can open Technology work orders, but only office managers, administrators and secretaries can submit Facilities work orders.
    To open a Technology work order, please go to https://support.burbankusd.org and log in using your BUSD email address and password. Then select "Report an Incident" and fill out the form to report a specific problem. You can also select "Request New Service" or "Service Catalog" for fillable common service requests. To expedite resolution, please provide as much information as possible.

    If you are not an office manager, Facilities work requests will be kicked back to you. Please forward that email to your office manager so they can submit it on your behalf.

    Tips on Avoiding Phishing Scams

    Phishing is the attempt to acquire sensitive information such as usernames, passwords, and credit card details, by appearing to be a trustworthy entity in an electronic communication. Phishers try to trick the user into believing the email is authentic and came from a legitimate organization. The more authentic looking the email, the higher the chance of success that a user will click on the link.
