Welcome to Walt Disney Elementary School where staff, students, and families worked collaboratively to ensure our students’ academic and social-emotional achievement.

      In 2020, Disney Elementary School was honored with the California Distinguished School Award for our continued growth in academic achievement for all students. This is a very special honor, as there are 6,249 public elementary schools in California, and Walt Disney was one of 324 schools to be recognized in 2020. I am so proud of my Disney Eagles, their families, our stellar staff and supportive community members for making this award possible for our students. Watch us SOAR!

Awards and Recognition for our Disney Students

Student of the Month Assemblies

Every month, teachers will honor one or two students for making and/or maintaining good academic progress, as well as maintaining and/or improving their classroom behavior.

Parents, family members, and friends are welcome to join us on the playground. The ceremony usually lasts about 30-40 minutes.

Students will receive certificates with a short paragraph written by their teachers, which typically describes the reasons why they were selected to represent their classrooms, another certificate from one of our local businesses, such as Yogurtland, Elephant Bar, and a bumper sticker that says your child was honored as student of the month for Walt Disney Elementary.

If your child qualifies for any of these awards, you will receive an invitation at home a few days prior to the assembly.
