I am very happy to welcome you to Walt Disney School, the smallest of the eleven elementary schools in the Burbank Unified School District. Disney School serves about 450 kindergarten through fifth grade students in the heart of Burbank. Our students are a happy, well-behaved group of hard-working children. The families in our Disney community represent a wealth of diverse ethnic backgrounds and speak over a dozen different languages. They are all united, however, in the goal of transforming the lives of their children through academic achievement.

The well-trained staff at Disney School is dedicated to building a strong foundation in reading, writing and math. Teachers receive continuous training in effective teaching strategies andalign their instruction with our standards-based state curriculum. Student progress is monitored throughout the year with on-going assessments in order to ensure that grade level standards are mastered. Support programs are available to meet the various needs of all students, including Power Reading andPower Math classes, Special Education classes, English Language Development classes and Gifted and Talented Educational programs. Our goal is to have all of our students soar into the future prepared for success!
