COMMUNICATIONS
Wellness Wise

Wellness Wise is a monthly newsletter that contains nutritional tips for elementary school parents/guardians. It available in the front office and/or cafeteria at your child's school. You can also download a copy from this website by clicking the link below. Each newsletter provides clear and concise communication about our wellness approach for our students. January's focus is "Being a Healthy Role Model for Children."
We also promote well-balanced eating by highlighting a fruit and vegetable every month. You can find fun facts about the featured fruit and vegetable on our monthly menus.
Treat Yourself Right
Treat Yourself Right (TYR) is an nutrition awareness program for middle and high school students to promote healthy lifestyles. The messaging provides fun facts on exercise and food items.
Beginning soon, the TYR logo will be used on our monthly menus as an identifier to highlight the healthiest choices. We provide each our of cafeterias with a monthly library of healthy living tips to encourage students to adopt and maintain a fit lifestyle (see the link above). TYR is an attitude - it is a program for creating and maintaining students' interest in healthy eating, a message that will benefit them within and outside of the cafeteria. For parents/guardians, TYR offers reassurance that their child is being motivated to choose healthier options.
