GENERAL INFORMATION:

Welcome to the John Muir Middle School website. Nestled at the base of the Verdugo mountains, John Muir lies in the northeast corner of Burbank. The largest of the three middle schools in the Burbank Unified School District, John Muir serves a diverse population, including the Deaf and Hard of Hearing students from Burbank and beyond.

We emphasize a rigorous academic program and provide outstanding opportunities for students to create and perform. We have award-winning programs in drama, vocal music, instrumental music, and arts. We have designed and implemented instructional programs that ensure all students master the State of California Content Standards for each subject area at each grade level. With four computer labs and computers in most classrooms, technology is an integral part of every subject area.
